"Labour" Day

It was after 16hrs of labour "pain" before Ah Girl finally managed to squeeze through the tiny canal.

Well... the first sign of giving birth came on 28th Oct(Sun) 7am. I was as usual in the loo doing business and OOPS! PINK DISCHARGE! Steady man, I told myself...I called my mom to cook my fav food for lunch coz soon it'd be bye-bye to my junk food and one month of pig trotters vinegar :( JR offered to drive me to wherever I wanted to go and to do whatever I wanted to do... but I only wanted to stay home. Too scared to think about enjoying.

28th Oct(Sun) 6pm.... RED DISCHARGE! Immediately called emergency helpline to ask for Dr Lim. He gave me 2 options. One, to admit hospital and stay in observation ward. Two, to monitor the contraction and to admit hospital immediately if the contraction interval was 5 min. Well, JR and I decided option two. So both of us went to bed early expecting to spend our wee hours of the night in hospital. 11pm plus... the pain became stronger. Contraction interval was about 15 min.

29th Oct (Mon) 1am... contraction interval was about 8 min... the pain became more and more unbearable. 2am, I woke JR up and he rushed me to TMC. We reached there abt 3 am...the nurses told me I've dilated 4 cm and contraction interval, 2min. I was sent to the labour ward immediately. I asked for Epidural and "WHEW", everything was a breeze from then on. I was dozing on and off in the ward. Couldn't eat anything except drink hot milo.

29th Oct(Mon) 10am... dilation was still at 4 cm !!!! Dr Lim asked the nurses to induce for me, else I'd still be in the ward till the next day ! 2pm plus... dilation was 10cm. Finally! The little one would coming out soon. The midwife came and I was asked to take a deep breathe and pushhhhhhhhhh when the contraction set in. Well, I failed. Worst thing, the epidural effect started to wear off. I requested for a booster jab but was rejected :( I screamed and pull hubby's tshirt. SHEEZ! I won't want to go through this hell again. Dr Lim tried to vacuum Ah Girl out. The pushhhhh and vacuum went on for about an hr.

29th Oct(Mon) 4pm plus... "She's out!" JR said. And there she is... our little angel, measuring 50cm, weighing 3.41kg :)
