Stacking Rings

En En's favorite toys at the moment coz she likes to bite the individual parts of the animals. =P
Bought this when I was preggie around 7mths.. never too early to stock up on bb's toys hehe

Like this stacking toys coz the individual rings can be used for various purpose and can be played separately.

The dog head will give a BA BOO BA BOO sound when press
The yellow cat will rattle
The pink pig will play music when nose is pressed
The blue dog's ear will crinkle when rub

En En's current play method
Dog head: treat as a ball
Yellow cat: bite the orange nose
Pink pig: bite the twiggy tail
Blue dog: crinkle the ear
Red polie: bite tip of pole

Still teaching her how to stack the rings into the red pole...

Playground

The little one's playground. The living room area is converted to a mini playground for BB En.

Lunch for the day

Round spinach + carrot + pork

Had wanted to cook potato + carrot + pork initially but granny jus gave her half a potato (!!!)yesterday. Scared too much carbo for her.

Calling doctor for advice

Tried to call Dr Ong's clinic whilst on train abt 850am. Nobody pick up the phone. Tried again when I reached office at 9am. Still no answer. Tried again 9.15am... 930am... and 945am... 10am ! Managed to get through. Damn! The number is a hotline.

Asked the nurse if I can get the doctor to prescribe another med for the little one as she is having diarrahoe (side effect from the antibiotics). Ok she says and will call me back again.

About half an hr later, another nurse from the clinic called. Doctor prescribed medicine to stop her diarrahoe as the small one has to complete her antibiotics as she is still having on-off fever. Can't stop or change the antibiotic. Okay... so rush down to his clinic at TMC during lunch time to get the med.

Still not well...

Fetched BB En back home on Monday night coz her runny nose got worse. And the little one nao-gai for the whole night. Waking up throughout the night every hr, crying.

Both mommy and BB En woke up on Tues morning with black eye rings and eye bags. Hurriedly feed and changed her and JR drive us to Dr Ong's clinic. Dr Ong detected the little one has ear infection. "!!!" He prescribed medicine for her cough, phlegm, running nose, antibiotics, nasal congestion and fever. Dr Ong mentioned the little one will take some time to recover, around Fri- Sat.

The little one temperature rose to 38.3 during evening time. Granny faster gave her fever med. Granny woke up at 2am+ to check her temp again, 37.3, phew. 3am+ thermoscan show 38.1. Another dose of fever med.

Mommy gotta return work on Wed, so granny was tasked the responsibility to ensure the little one function well, ie sleep, eat and play well. (According to Dr Ong, symptoms are secondary, funtion is primary. As long as the little one can function well, she is recovering well.)

Wed morning, BB En diarrahoe 3 times! Afternoon - 2 times! Temp rose to 38.1 again in the afternoon. Another dose of fever med... Gosh! This fever roller coaster is making mommy headache. Doc cautioned that the antibiotics might cause rash or diarrahoe. Gotta stop the medication and check with doc tomorrow.

Sick

The little one is down with running nose and on-off fever.

It started on Saturday morning. She only woke up at 8am+, which is not normal and she refused her milk feed. Plus she was sian sian and not touching her toys. Weird weird... then the transparent liquid flowed down her nose.. AIYO! Rushed her down to Dr Tan Yeow Meng at Healthway Clinic at Punggol Plaza immediately. Luckily no patient in queue and we are the next.
Dr Tan measured her temp. 37.8...

"Mommy, pls standby ur fever med at home."

!!!!!!!

" Her nose is red and swollen. It's still too early to determine if its bacteria or virus infection. I'll give her flu syrup and nose drop. Come back to me if she doesn't get well in 2-3 days time."

!!!!! ...... !!!!!! ..... !!!!!

Mommy dutifully feed medicine and monitor the temp once back home.

The little one's temp subsides but rises again at night... 37.8 Better feed her fever med lest she develops high fever during the night.

Sunday:

The little one's fever subsides. Phew!

Poor Bao Bei develops black eye rings towards evening time. She only sleeps half an hr for her morning nap and an hr for her afternoon nap. BB keeps choking on the mucus which backflows down her throat during her nap and this disturbs her sleep and fustrates her.

Poor little one. She doesn't know how to sniff out or swallow the mucus. Mommy decides to suck out the mucus for her. SUUUPHHH gurp. Tastes sweet.

Bb En's immunity system can't fight against the fever bug, maybe due to not enough ZZZzzz. Her temp rises again to 37.9 during evening time...Fever med quick! Pump it down her throat immediately.

Hope she recovers tomorrow.

Hair Cut

Brought the little one to another haircut. I was contemplating whether to give her a "botak" head coz her hair is very fine and thin. And part of the hair is not growing. Ah Keow (the hairdresser) commented that even if I shave her hair now, the part will still grow only after 1 yr +. So no point la! So bag with this good reason, I decided to just give her a trim =)

Anklet

BB En's anklet! Yippee! Thanks to both Joycelyn and her mommy for their help in getting it!!! Will find one "auspicious" day to put it on for the little one. At least can know where the little one crawls to now! =p

Like Daddy, Like En En

Both Daddy and the little one have the same habit - putting a leg up while eating.

Vivo City - Serenity

Daddy n Mommy brought En En to Vivo and happen to meet Yi Yi and Da Shu, who went there pat-toring. We have dinner together at Serenity, where Mommy and Yi Yi discuss about Yi Yi's new house and wedding. The bistro-restaurant's singer + ambience is good but the food... hmmm...

Notice Mommy specially dresses En En in the floral top + red leggings? Wooo... kawaii ne!

Snack for the Day

The little one likes the biscuits and finishes it fast.

Lunch for the Day

Chye Sim + Tofu + Chicken

Mashes the chicken meat before serving to the little one. Gives her chicken and tofu and porridge separately... just to let her taste the different food.

Teething Husks

Ah Ger wasn't sure what to do with the teething husk when I gave her one. So... this gungho mommy took the other piece and tried chewing it as a demo. Damn!!! Its as hard as a rock! Even I myself can't chew it into pieces... well it serves its purposes.

New Friend on the Block!

BB En's new toy! First saw this when we celebrate belated Father's day for JR. I've got my eyes set on it immediately as it reminds me of Ah Ger. Somemore Ah Ger likes red! And she'll like the black strings for sure coz she has been playing with dangling strings, labels, etc recently. True enough! Bao Bei likes to fiddle with the black strings and also hug the toy. Oh... So sweet!

Snack for the Day

Saw this at Kiddy Palace and bought for the little one to try. This snack is for late weaning stage and development of jaw muscles for chewing. They have 3 flavors - Pumpkin, Vegetable, Fish. Chose this for the DHA + calcium. Find it a bit saltish... mabbe its the scallop that they include in?? Squash 3 balls for Ah Ger to try and yummy! She loves it!
